These were the questions that Nancy asked:
What’s the best / worst practical joke that you’ve played on someone or that was played on you?
When I was a kid (I was around 5 or 6) my cousin and I got fake poop from a novelty shop and put it in the living room at my house so my parents would think the dog pooped on the floor. But when my dad saw it he started yelling at the dog and I felt terrible so I told him immediately that it was fake. I don’t think I’ve ever played a practical joke since then. I don’t really like them, they tend to too often ben mean-spirited in my opinion.
What “old person” things do you do?
Honestly I kind of feel like I am an old person at heart. I don’t go out and party or drink really ever, it’s just not something I’ve ever been interested in. Most of the time I’d rather stay at home and watch Father Brown on Netflix with my boyfriend then go out.
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve broken?
Hmm does my car count? About a year ago I totaled my new car when a deer jumped in front of it and I couldn’t stop in time. It was dark and I was on a poorly lit road so I couldn’t see it until it was too late. Luckily no one was hurt (except the deer, who didn’t make it), but the car was totaled.
What obstacles would be included in the World’s most amazing obstacle course?
I’m way too lazy to ever want to take part in an obstacle course so I’m going to have to go with no obstacles. 😂
What makes you roll your eyes every time you hear it?
“You’ll change your mind about wanting kids in the future.” I don’t get this as much as I used to since I’m more open to the idea of kids then I used to be, but this was always so annoying to hear. If someone tells you they don’t want kids, why try to change their mind? Either they will change their mind on their own or they won’t and it’s not really any of your business.
What do you think you are much better at than you actually are?
Dancing. I like to think I am good at it but I know that I am actually not.
What’s the craziest conversation you’ve overheard?
I feel dumb right now but I just can’t think of any haha. I’m sure I’ve heard some weird conversations before but nothing is coming to mind. 🤷♀️
What’s the hardest you’ve ever worked?
Probably every time I’ve ever worked in a retail position. Those jobs are hard not just physically but mentally as well, especially when you are an introvert like me and having to talk to lots of people every day is exhausting.
What movie, picture or video always makes you laugh no matter how often you watch it?
The Princess Bride movie.
What artist or band do you always recommend when someone asks for a music recommendation?
It changes. I’m not the person someone would go to for a music recommendation since I’m not super into music (I enjoy it but I’m not “into” it in the sense that I spend a lot of time looking for new bands or closely following a particular band). Some that I enjoy right now are: Brian Fallon, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Vance Joy, and Taylor Swift (yes I said Taylor swift I don’t want to hear about it haha).
If you could have an all-expenses paid trip to see any famous world monument, which monument would you choose?
Ohh this is a hard one. I’m not sure. There are a lot of places that I would like to see and I would take an all-expenses-paid trip to any of them haha. Maybe the Great Wall of China? I’m going to go with that.
My questions for my nominees:
- Is there anywhere in the world that you would never travel to, even if someone paid you? Where and why?
- What is the nicest gift you have ever received?
- What are you looking forward to most between now and the end of the year?
- What is the last good book that you read?
- If you could tell yourself 10 years ago one thing, what would it be?
- What does your ideal relaxation day look like?
- If you had to choose one thing to be put in a time capsule that would be opened in 100 years, what would it be?
- What is your favorite city?
- What is something that seems obvious to you, but that other people seem to not understand?
- Is there something that you love that you think is underrated? (Like a book, TV show, movie, band, etc.)
- What is your favorite thing to have for dessert?
Thank you again to Nancy for nominating me! I had fun answering these questions and coming up with my own. I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s posts!
